This week I tried something new. I went ice skating outdoors for the first time at the Gallivan Center downtown. It was so much fun! I didn't even fall once. Jason and I took trax down and skated for a few hours then headed to Chilis where we met up with Laci to watch the jazz game and get some grub. Here is a pic of us skating.

Weekend Fun

Superbowl 2009

I just spent the day in Farmington at my parents house for the Superbowl. Unfortunately our chosen team did not win... but it was an exciting game. My brother in law sister and their two kids came to help us celebrate. We had chips and dips, hot dogs and other good food. I found a few odd toys at the top of the T.V. My Mom told me they were Superbowl Burger King bobble head toys my dad collected and puts up every January. I had to take a picture of them... here it is.

Disney World 2008

I'm bored doing my endless pile of laundry at my parents house so i thought I might add some pics from my family vacation to Disney World this last September. I miss the warmth. My little nephew convinced my dad to buy him a pirate sword after the Pirates of the Carribean ride so they are fully equipped in pirate gear in the photo above. The youngest one loves to "fight." We were there for 8 days and didn't stop to take many breaks.. we saw just about everything. I needed a vacation after our vacation but it was fun. My favorite part of the trip was at Epcot where they have a world show case and different countries featuring food, rides, and products from that country. People from the different countries actually work there on internships from their native lands. I also liked being wined and dined at the nice resturaunts and all we had to pay was the tip because we won a free food package through our resort. It was nice and warm there, a little humid for my taste but I prefer that over this awful winter weather. We got to lay out at the pool. The resort we stayed at was the Port Orleans French Quarters so we got to eat beignets and one night there was a live jazz musician that I loved. We were a little cramped. I slept in a bed slammed into the corner of our hotel room but it was kind of funny I guess. We got up at 630 everyday and thats 430 our time... so I was very tired. I fell asleep on a jungle ride where we were in a bumpy jeep; it was pretty funny.

After months of religiously watching my friends and families blogs while working nights at the hospital I decided to show my face. Just an update... I am living in Murray with one roomate. I have a great view of the cemetary from my place. I have two jobs, one at the University hospital, one as a sleep tech, so I am on a very unique sleeping/eating/social schedule. I also go to school part time at SLCC and i will soon transfer to the U. When i am not trying to pay the bills or doing homework I like to hang out with my friends, visit my family, go on dates with my man, or get diet coke from the local Chevron :)
